Obituary for Mark Dewayne Holladay, Jr.

Mark Dewayne Holladay, Jr. age 71, of Springfield, Missouri, formerly of Mt. Vernon, Missouri, passed away at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday, June 5, 2018, at the Richmont Terrace Assisted Living in Bellevue, Nebraska. He was born December 18, 1946, in Aurora, Missouri, the son of Dewayne and Madyoline (Williams) Holladay.

Mark was a 1964 graduate of Mt. Vernon High School, and was a United States Air Force Veteran station at Nellis Air Force base in Las Vegas, Nevada from 1966 until 1970. He retired after 35 years of service with General Electric in Springfield, Missouri.

Mark is survived by his loving daughter, Lisa (Bob) Meyers and granddaughters, Destiny and Taylor of Bellevue, Nebraska; one sister, Paula (Keith) Evans of Houston, Texas; two aunts and many loving cousins.

His parents, Dewayne and Madyoline, preceded him in death.

A memorial service will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, June 16, 2018, at the Fossett-Mosher Funeral Home, in Mt. Vernon. Burial will follow at the Summit Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made payable to Serene Care Hospice or the Alzheimer’s Association, in care of the funeral home.
