Obituary for Vicki Lynne (Shockley Kizer

Vicki Lynne (Shockley) Kizer, age 71, of Mt. Vernon, Missouri, passed away at 8:55 a.m. on Monday, June 17, 2019, at her home. She was born September 27, 1947, in Monett, Missouri, the daughter of Billy Jake and Madalene May (Melton) Shockley.

Vicki was a 1965 graduate of Mt. Vernon High School and was a United States Marine Corps Veteran. She was a Lithographer for a printing company in Kansas City, Missouri and was a Master Naturalist.

On December 19, 1972, she married Edward Kizer in Mt. Vernon. He preceded her in death on May 18, 1988.

Vicki is survived by her daughter, Chandra Kizer and one grandson, Michael Tolbert, both of Margate, Florida and one brother, Phil Shockley of Brighton, Missouri.

Vicki was preceded in death by her parents, Billy and Madalene and her husband, Edward.

A graveside service, under the direction of the Fossett-Mosher Funeral Home in Mt. Vernon will be held at 9:00 a.m. on Monday, June 24, 2019, at the Missouri Veterans Cemetery in Springfield, Missouri.

Per Vicki’s request, in lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made payable to the American Cancer Society, in care of the funeral home.
