Obituary for Janet Ruth Livingston

Janet Ruth Livingston, age 68, of Mt. Vernon, Missouri, passed away at 6:09 a.m. on Thursday, May 2, 2019, at her home. She was born April 14, 1951, in Cadillac, Michigan, the daughter of John Arthur and Ella Mae (Jordon) Dean.

Janet was a graduate of Clare High School in Clare, Michigan and a home maker. She was an animal lover and was a big hearted person willing to help anyone.

On February 20, 1982, she married Daniel Dean Livingston, Sr. in Tustin, Michigan. He preceded her in death on May 20, 2005.

Janet is survived by four daughters, Kim Duwe and her husband, Ryan, and Teresa Livingston, all of Mt. Vernon, Paula Livingston of Flint, Michigan and Melissa Burke of Illinois; five sons, Daniel Livingston, Jr. and his wife, Debbie, of Farwell, Michigan, Kevin Livingston of Evert, Michigan, Bradley Livingston of Cadillac, Michigan, John Livingston of Evert, Michigan and Charles Livingston of Michigan; 12 grandchildren, including Payton and Aria Duwe of Mt. Vernon and four great-grandchildren.

Janet was preceded in death by her parents, John and Ella and husband, Daniel.

A memorial service, under the direction of the Fossett-Mosher Funeral Home, in Mt. Vernon, will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, May 11, 2019, at the First United Methodist Church in Mt. Vernon.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made payable to the Lawrence County 4-H, in care of the funeral home.
