Obituary for Wilburn Loren Buehler

Wilburn Loren Buehler, age 81, of Mt. Vernon, Missouri, passed away at 12:45 a.m. on Sunday, January 28, 2018, at his home. He was born January 9, 1937, in Mt. Vernon, the son of Loren and Hulda Marie (Roethemeier) Buehler.

Wilburn was a 1955 graduate of Mt. Vernon High School and served in the Army National Guard and was a cattle, crops and dairy farmer. He was a member of the First Presbyterian Church in Mt. Vernon.

On July 24, 1965, he married Karen Louise Duncan, in Joplin, Missouri and she preceded him in death on May 24, 2009.

Wilburn is survived by his son, David Buehler and his wife, Ann, of Mt. Vernon and one granddaughter, Devin Buehler, of Springfield, Missouri.
His parents, Loren and Hulda, wife, Karen, and one brother, Bill Buehler, preceded him in death.

A funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, February 1, 2018, at the Fossett-Mosher Funeral Home in Mt. Vernon. Burial will follow at the Zion Memorial Cemetery, southwest of Mt. Vernon. Visitation will be held from 10:00-11:00 a.m. on Thursday, in the funeral home chapel.

Memorial donations may be made payable to the Zion Memorial Cemetery, in care of the funeral home.
