Obituary for David Keith Wright

David Keith Wright, age 71, of Mt. Vernon, Missouri, passed away at 7:18 a.m. on Monday, February 26, 2018, at his daughters home in Springfield, Missouri. He was born December 25, 1946, in Torrance, California, the son of Dale and Margaret (Richhart) Wright.

David was a 1964 graduate of Torrance High School, in Torrance, California. He was a dispatcher for Star Transport in Mt. Vernon and was very active in the Boy Scouts, and was a
member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Aurora, Missouri.

On June 16, 1973, he married Dorothy Jeanne Weber, in Manti, Utah. She preceded him in death on November 25, 2017.

David is survived by one son, William “Bill” Wright of Mt. Vernon; four daughters, Sarah Culler and her husband, Bryan, of Greeley, Colorado, Julie Farnsworth and her husband, Jerry, of Mt. Vernon, Jeanne Willden and her husband, David, of Springfield and Rebecca “Becky” Wright of Astoria, Oregon; two brothers, Daniel Wright and his wife, Carol, of Texas and Paul Wright and his wife, Cheryl, of Carpinteria, California; ten grandchildren; two great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

His parents, Dale and Margaret, wife, Dorothy and two grandsons, Christopher Farnsworth and Ryan Culler, preceded him in death.

A memorial service will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, March 2, 2018, at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints south of Mt. Vernon. Burial will be held at the Mt. Vernon City Cemetery.

Memorial donations may be made payable to the Boy Scouts of America, in care of the funeral home.
